INDIVIDUAL PLACEMENT
To facilitate placement, children are given reading and math assessments. This allows students to be grouped based on skill level. Students with exceptional talents will be placed into skill levels corresponding to assessment scores, regardless of age or grade.
Students are grouped by grade level for History and Science. These subjects are used to promote character development, leadership skills, and teamwork.
CURRICULUM
The Academy uses curriculum published by Alpha Omega. Their Horizons program is used for all math levels and grades K-2 reading and phonics. Their Lifepac program is used for grades 3-10.
STUDENT-TEACHER RATIO
Maximum student teacher ratio is 8:1. All reading and math groups consist of no more than four students. The low student-teacher ratio allows for extraordinary learning gains during the academic year.
TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS
All teachers hold a bachelor’s degree and have a teaching degree or have extensive teaching experience. An emphasis is placed on continually training the teachers in the Academy's methodology and philosophies.
